Erich Sennebogen, at the age of 21, sets up his own business in Pilling, near Straubing to manufacture agricultural machinery

Rapid growth of the company forces him to expand. The new plant is built in Straubing

Besides the traditional rope-operated mechanical excavators, the first hydraulic excavators are developed (SH40, SH50, SH60)

The world’s first fully hydraulic rope excavator is developed by SENNEBOGEN

A new generation of hydraulic excavators is developed and is successfully launched on the market (S451, S467, S517, S755, S1164)

SENNEBOGEN develops the hydraulically adjustable articulated boom. This innovation changes the hydraulic excavator world and has become the standard worldwide

Acquisition and modernization of a site in Hungary

The company acquires and modernizes a supplier in Balatonfüred, Hungary, and quickly develops it into a modern supplier for steel assemblies and welded constructions.

World premiere: The 305 Multihandler with elevating driver’s cab appears on the market.

SENNEBOGEN opens doors to new “purpose-built” 54,000 sq. ft. (5017 m²) American headquarters with complete parts and Training Center in Stanley, NC establishing a world-class facility to support users of material handling equipment in North America.

Erich Sennebogen: 1931 – 2011

On March 21, 2011, our Company founder Erich Sennebogen, Sr. passed away at the age of 79, having guided the Company safely for almost six decades.

The logo stands for 60 successful years: the individual “rocks” represent the sales and service partners of the company, the “diamonds” represent the four production sites and subsidiaries.

Introduction of the E-Series with Green Efficiency

Innovation: SENNEBOGEN successfully launches the new E-Series with Green Efficiency technology on the market. The fuel-saving and environmentally friendly high-performance machines are perfectly suited to demanding continuous use in material handling.

SENNEBOGEN LLC expands warehouse facility by 45,000 sq. ft. (4180 m²). At more than 100,000 sq. ft. (9300 m²), the North American facility combines administrative and sales offices with a Training Center and a parts warehouse.

Opening of academy & museum

The company sets another milestone its history with the opening of the SENNEBOGEN Academy and the Erich Sennebogen Museum in May 2014. In its facilities, the SENNEBOGEN Academy GmbH & Co. KG houses a modern machine training center, including demonstration site, as well as spacious training and conference rooms.

When SENNEBOGEN LLC opened its new headquarters in Stanley, NC, in 2009.  The facility was equipped with one of America’s premier OEM Training Centers for heavy equipment. The Training Center was an integral part of the original design for the new head office and warehouse and recently expanded to 100,000 sq. ft. under one roof.

Expansion Plant 3 in Wackersdorf

Construction of a new 43,056 sq. ft. (4000 m²) manufacturing facility.

In 2017, SENNEBOGEN expanded the plant at the port in Straubing by 35,000 m².

SENNEBOGEN will present the new 895 E, the largest material handler ever built, to the public at bauma 2019. The gigantic machine is impressive with its operational weight of around 390 t and reach of up to 40 m. SENNEBOGEN has been setting once again new standards in challenging material handling.

Commissioning of plant 4 in Wackersdorf.

In addition to the continuous further development of the plant since 1994, a new machine shipping area and an expansion of the employee parking spaces were created in Wackersdorf in 2020. The realignment of the Multi Line with its own plant 4 is a milestone for the production of the telehandlers.

Anniversary: 70 years of SENNEBOGEN

Opening of the development and technology center. SENNEBOGEN can look back on 70 successful years since the company was founded in 1952 and opened its new development and technology center at the location in Straubing-Sand in the same year.

Opening of the second steel construction plant in Hungary

In addition to Balatonfüred, the company has opened a further site in Litér, around 30 km away in northwestern Hungary. In order to meet the growing demand, SENNEBOGEN is investing in a new, modern steel construction plant on a site area of around 13 hectares, which is also completely energy self-sufficient.
