Wolf Entsorgung in Straubing, Germany, deployed a new SENNEBOGEN 818 M E-Series as a compact solution for the sorting and loading of all recycling materials.

Straubing, Germany – Michael Wolf OHG, a disposal and recycling specialist, relies on a new E-Series model of the SENNEBOGEN 818 M waste-handler for the sorting and loading of recycling materials.

For the owners, Carolin and Heinz Wolf, their new machine had to be a SENNEBOGEN right from the start – and not just because their facility is located just a few miles from the SENNEBOGEN factory in Straubing, Germany. The Wolfs take pride in German manufacturing quality, and the 818 M material handler matches their needs.

Founded in 1905 as a trucking firm, Wolf has been active in the disposal industry since 1977. The family-run enterprise is a single source for recycling solutions for all materials from scrap wood to paper and plastics, as well as industrial scrap.

Their 818 M has been part of the vehicle fleet since March 2014. With a reliable 130 HP (97 kW) diesel engine and wheeled undercarriage, the compact material handling machine travels quickly and flexibly over the entire site, sorting and loading industrial wastes, or feeding the plastic shredder.

The shredder operation, which produces new granulated product for plastic manufacturing, is located indoors with just a 25 ft. (7 m) ceiling height. This presented a particular challenge. However, the 818 M seems custom-made for the job, with a total boom length of 26 ft. (8 m) and a compact footprint of just 8.2 ft. by 15.8 ft. (2.50 m x 4.80 m).

With its elevating maXcab raised to about 18 ft., (5.48 m) the 818 also provides the operator with a direct view into the containers and over the entire work area, allowing greater precision and maximum safety in the tight work space.

Constantino Lannes, President of SENNEBOGEN LLC, points to the energy efficiency of the E-Series models as an important advantage for North American operations. “The ‘Green Efficiency’ technology provided with an E-Series machine offers tremendous fuel savings without degrading performance,” says Lannes. “It’s a system of features combining automatic RPM reduction, Start-Stop automation and a switchable Eco-Mode to achieve significant reductions in operating costs.”
