EQ BALANCE CRANES
Balances Power With Energy Savings
Balance Cranes provide the foundation for an efficient, productive and cost-effective logistics system
EQ, for “equilibrium”, reduces the crane’s expenditure of energy by offsetting the weight of the lifting load with a counterbalancing system. Pivot points in the balancing system shift the counterbalance weight to maintain a constant equilibrium with the position of the load.
This design allows equilibrium cranes to extend their reach further than traditional material handlers and support more weight throughout their lifting envelope, while reducing energy and operating costs by as much as 75%.
ENORMOUS ENERGY SAVINGS
-
Counterweight moves coupling rod forward or backward with minimum energy input
-
More economical than conventional machines: Works with only 50% of the installed power thanks to intelligent force distribution
LONG RANGE
-
One application for numerous tasks: Truck unloading / loading, sorting, feeding of plants.
-
Depending on the version: 32,000 sq. ft (3000 m²) or as much as 55,000 sq. ft. (5100 m²) coverage of the effective working area in stationary operation
SAFETY & MAINTENANCE
-
Walk-in powerpack with all hydraulic and engine components
-
Clearly arranged connections in the engine room
-
Excellent accessibility to the cab and engine room thanks to precisely fitting platforms and railings
THE BALANCER CONCEPT
HOW IT WORKS
The self-adjusting counterweight compensates for load stresses in any position throughout the lift cycle: ideal for applications requiring a long reach to move heavy loads.
The simplicity of the EQ balance technology allows dramatic increases in lift capacity while reducing stress on machine structure and hydraulics, leading to high reliability with increased throughput.
