SENNEBOGEN 880 Takes To The High Seas

To accelerate the time required to complete a number of their material handling tasks, La Dragaggi s.r.l. recently made the decision to replace an old crawler excavator with a new SENNEBOGEN 880. This purpose-built material handler was mounted as a permanent fixture on the ship “Gino Cucco”.

The 880 quickly became an extremely popular addition for the crew on board. This gigantic material handler offers outstanding performance, is easy to operate and highly efficient. Specially equipped with a 95 ft. (29 m) boom and straight jib, it achieves the necessary reach and strength for long deep grabs lifting extraordinary loads.

The green machine, specially designed and built for these applications, is on the job every day meeting its demanding engineering tasks. With the commissioning of this ship-mounted 880, SENNEBOGEN’s sales and service partner, Cesaro Mac Import, has won an important customer in La Dragaggi and the company now has a highly effective solution in place.
